As part of our ongoing commitment to amplifying diverse voices in literature, we are thrilled to announce the return of StoryGarden Bookshelf at the 2024 AIM Literary Festival. Introduced last year, StoryGarden Bookshelf was a huge success, showcasing works from over 126 contributors, including bestselling and emerging authors. Supported by major publishers such as Bloomsbury and Jacaranda, the initiative shined a spotlight on authors from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
This year, we are taking it a step further with StoryGarden Evening, an event dedicated entirely to storytellers. It will be held on October 16th at The Hearth, Queen’s Park, London (16 Lonsdale Road, NW6 6RD) from 5pm to 8pm. This informal networking evening will bring together a vibrant community of storytellers, creative professionals, book bloggers, reviewers, and book marketers. Aspiring writers can also take advantage of exclusive critiquing sessions with renowned literary agent Arden Jones.
Share your story with fellow authors and exchange your book.
Tickets for StoryGarden Evening are available for just £20 and can be purchased here https://bit.ly/aimhearth.
Additional Opportunities for Selected Authors
In addition to the networking event, we are offering selected authors the chance to participate in StoryGarden throughout the festival, aligning with this year’s theme: Life, Experiences, and the Stories in Between. We only have 10 slots for this.
Selected authors will benefit from the following:
Book Display and Sale: Showcase your book at the festival with an opportunity for direct sales. If listed with Gardners, we’ll coordinate with our partner bookstores.
Exclusive Speaking Opportunity: Share your story with a dedicated 7-minute speaking slot in front of an audience that includes fellow authors, reviewers, and BookTok influencers.
Networking Opportunities: Engage with publishers, literary agents, reviewers, and booksellers to expand your professional network.
Book Exchange: Exchange copies of your book with other authors to widen your readership.
Website Listing: Featured placement of your book on the festival’s official website alongside other works.
Masterclass Access: Attend exclusive masterclasses on October 15th at The British Library, including Public Speaking with multi-award-winning TV presenter Anila Dhami and Book Marketing with Nidhi Sahini, founder of Popcorn Pixel. Participate as an audience in panel discussions and book launches covering topics like Books to Screen with Bafta Jury member Ashanti Omkar and Editorial Insights with Kitty Walker.

Stories are the golden thread that connect cultures and transforms lives. Stories transcend boundaries and open perception. This is one strong reason why stories must not be contained in a box. They have to be given space to fly across countries and culture. This is the reason why we work earnestly to promote diversity and inclusion in publishing.
StoryGarden is a vision, a dream that has seeded at AIM Literary Festival. We have received submissions from across the globe and these will be showcased at the literary diverse bookshelf.
Collaborate with us by contributing the titles that reflect diversity. We are grateful to Bloomsbury for supporting our endeavour by contribution their titles.
