Our Story
The AIM Literary Festival is a cherished initiative of Author In Me Publishing, an award-winning independent press Author In Me. Fueled by the AIM Founders Monica Sood and Ekta Bajaj’s belief that stories have the power to empower, connect, and transform, they envisioned a unique platform where diverse voices of all backgrounds—emerging writers, literary icons, and young storytellers—could unite to celebrate literature and inspire future generations. What began as a simple idea has transformed into a thriving movement—a celebration of stories that inspire, empower, and unite. As the AIM Literary Festival continues to grow, it invites everyone to share in this journey because every voice matters, and every story has the power to shape our world
.Join us—listen, share, and be inspired!.
A Journey of Growth

From its humble beginnings in 2020, the AIM Literary Festival has flourished into a celebrated platform for creativity, diversity, and representation. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the festival pivoted online, hosting its first global virtual event with speakers from the UK, India, and the US.
For two consecutive years, AIM continued to captivate audiences with its virtual celebrations, fostering connections across borders and showcasing literary excellence on a global stage.
In 2022, AIM made its highly anticipated return to in-person events, hosting its first live festival at The Nehru Centre, the cultural wing of the High Commission of India in London. This milestone marked a new chapter for the festival, blending the intimacy of face-to-face interactions with the momentum gained through its virtual presence. The event brought together an eclectic mix of writers, artists, and cultural enthusiasts, young writers setting the tone for future editions.
Since then, AIM has continued to grow and expand. Each edition has been marked by thought-provoking discussions, captivating performances, and engaging workshops, solidifying AIM as a hub for creative expression.
In 2024, AIM successfully concluded its fifth edition—a week-long celebration. Over five years, the festival featured 130 events and 225 speakers. With support from Arts Council England and partnerships with organisations like The Nehru Centre, Roald Dahl Museum, Brent and Buckinghamshire libraries, IGlobal, the UK Asian Film Festival, and IIW, AIM has expanded its reach across London, Buckinghamshire, and Brent, fostering literary engagement in diverse communities.
